| | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | | 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate Leah Hoffman of the | | 4 | | Jacksonville High
School dance team, the J'ettes, on being | | 5 | | named Miss IDTA 2023; and
| | 6 | | WHEREAS, Miss IDTA is an award given to the top soloist by | | 7 | | the Illinois Drill Team Association (IDTA) at the IDTA State | | 8 | | Finals, which were held this year from February 10 to February | | 9 | | 11, 2023; and
| | 10 | | WHEREAS, Leah Hoffman's solo routine performance at the | | 11 | | 2023 IDTA State Finals was ranked first out of 36 qualifying | | 12 | | candidates in the State, earning her the coveted Miss IDTA | | 13 | | 2023 title; and
| | 14 | | WHEREAS, Leah Hoffman's individual accomplishments include | | 15 | | being a four-year member and a two-year co-captain of the | | 16 | | Jacksonville J'ettes, a four-time member of the Central State | | 17 | | Eight Athletic Academic All-Conference Honor Roll, and a | | 18 | | four-time winner of the IDTA Scholastic Achievement Award; and
| | 19 | | WHEREAS, Leah Hoffman, as a member of the Jacksonville | | 20 | | J'ettes, was instrumental in the team being named the 2023 | | 21 | | Illinois
High School Association (IHSA) Class 1A Competitive |

Champion, the 2023 IDTA AA Lyrical/Contemporary State | | 2 | | Champion, a 2023 Universal Dance Association (UDA) National | | 3 | | Semifinalist, and a four-time IHSA Sectional Champion; and
| | 4 | | WHEREAS, While Leah Hoffman's time on the Jacksonville | | 5 | | J'ettes is coming to an end, her dedication and hard work will | | 6 | | leave a lasting impression on Jacksonville High School and her | | 7 | | Jacksonville J'ettes teammates and coaches; therefore, be it
| | 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | | 9 | | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | | 10 | | we congratulate Leah Hoffman on being named Miss IDTA 2023 and | | 11 | | commend her for her teamwork as a senior performer on the | | 12 | | Jacksonville High School dance team, the J'ettes; and be it | | 13 | | further
| | 14 | | RESOLVED, That we wish Leah Hoffman success in all of her | | 15 | | future endeavors; and be it further
