HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate McKenzie Pratt on the occasion of her being the first female state champion wrestler for Edwardsville High School; and

WHEREAS, McKenzie Pratt has been wrestling since 2016 and has been competing in jujitsu and weight training since 2019; and

WHEREAS, McKenzie Pratt is a sophomore and has only had two losses in her high school wrestling career; she placed second in the previous state tournament; and

WHEREAS, McKenzie Pratt has had many accomplishments within her high school career; she is the first female to win a state championship in wrestling this year and was the iCAN Clinic Female Athlete of the Month; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate McKenzie Pratt on her accomplishments in her high school wrestling career, and we wish her and her family the best of luck in their future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to McKenzie Pratt as an expression of our esteem and respect.
