HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate CSL Behring on the occasion of operating its manufacturing facility in the Kankakee region for 70 successful years; and

WHEREAS, CSL Behring's parent company, CSL, is a leading global biotechnology company with a dynamic portfolio of medicines that provide lifesaving products to patients in more than 100 countries; and

WHEREAS, CSL Plasma, a CSL company, operates one of the world's largest and most sophisticated plasma collection networks throughout the United States; in Illinois, it operates 15 centers that collect plasma used for the sole purpose of manufacturing plasma-derived therapies; and

WHEREAS, CSL is opening its newest plasma collection center on the south campus of its Kankakee manufacturing site, thereby continuing to build on its presence in the Kankakee region; and

WHEREAS, CSL, a global biotech leader that discovers, develops, and delivers innovative therapies so patients can live their lives to the fullest, has recently launched HEMGENIX®, the first and only gene therapy treatment to treat severe Hemophilia B; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate CSL Behring for its 70 years in the Kankakee region and throughout the State of Illinois, addressing unmet medical needs and helping patients around the world live full lives; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to CSL Behring as an expression of our esteem and respect.
