    Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning case management services.

1    AN ACT concerning public aid.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
5changing Section 5-16.2 as follows:
 
6    (305 ILCS 5/5-16.2)
7    Sec. 5-16.2. Long range plan for case management. The The
8Illinois Department shall develop a long range plan for the
9implementation of case management services, as defined in
10Section 5-16.1 of this Act, throughout Illinois. The long
11range plan shall include: (i) a geographic overview of the
12State and the proportion, as determined by the Department of
13Public Aid and the Department of Public Health records, of
14Medicaid eligible pregnant or parenting girls under 17 years
15of age at the time of the initial assessment; (ii)
16identification of high proportion areas; (iii) goals for
17reducing the likelihood of long-term welfare dependency; (iv)
18the time frames for accomplishing the identified goals; and
19(v) specific recommendations for administrative or legislative
20policies and programs necessary to complete the identified
21goals. The long range plan shall take into consideration other
22resources currently serving the identified population. The
23long range plan shall be completed no later than July 1, 1994,

1and provided to the Governor and the General Assembly in the
2form of a written report.
