SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 405/405-126 new

Amends the Department of Central Management Services Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department of Central Management Services shall allow State employees and applicants for State employment positions to indicate their preferred personal pronouns on State-created employment and personnel documents and forms.

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Department of Central Management Services Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section 405-126 as follows:

Sec. 405-126. Choice of pronouns on employment and personnel documents. The Department shall allow State employees and applicants for State employment positions to indicate their preferred personal pronouns on State-created employment and personnel documents and forms.
