SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

25 ILCS 145/5.10 new

Amends the Legislative Information System Act. Provides that the Legislative Information System has the duty to provide closed captioning of House and Senate floor and committee proceedings for video broadcasts of those proceedings that are made available by the System on the General Assembly website.

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Legislative Information System Act is amended by adding Section 5.10 as follows:

(25 ILCS 145/5.10 new)

Sec. 5.10. Closed captioning of video recordings. To provide closed captioning of House and Senate floor and committee proceedings for video broadcasts of those proceedings that are made available by the System on the General Assembly website.
