1    AN ACT concerning State government.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The State Treasurer Employment Code is amended
5by changing Sections 7a, and 7b as follows:
 
6    (15 ILCS 510/7a)  (from Ch. 130, par. 107a)
7    Sec. 7a. Terms - compensation. Members of the Personnel
8Review Board shall initially be appointed as follows:
9    (a) One member to serve for 2 years and until a successor
10is appointed;
11    (b) One member to serve for 4 years and until a successor
12is appointed; and
13    (c) One member to serve for 6 years and until a successor
14is appointed.
15    Thereafter, members of the Board shall be appointed by the
16Treasurer for 6 year terms with the advice and consent of the
17Senate. One member of the Board shall be appointed a
18chairperson for a 2 year term. Members of the Board shall each
19be paid $100 for each day they are engaged in the business of
20the Board and shall be reimbursed for their expenses when
21engaged in such business receive no compensation for their
22services, but shall be reimbursed for necessary traveling and
23other official expenses.

3    Sec. 7b. Meetings. Members Meetings of the Personnel
4Review Board shall meet periodically in accordance with a
5schedule established by the chairperson and at such other
6times as necessary, with written notice given by the
7chairperson at least three days before the meeting be held at
8least 4 times a year on call of the chairman, or upon call
9signed by any 2 members, or upon call of the Treasurer. Two
10members of the Board constitute a quorum.

12    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
13becoming law.
