SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
P.A. 102-1015, Sec. 1-10

    Amends Public Act 102-1015. Provides that if the Village of Hopkins Park ceases to use for public purposes certain real property located in Kankakee County conveyed to it by the Department of Corrections, then the property shall revert to the State of Illinois (rather than the State of Illinois, Department of Corrections). Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning property.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. "An Act concerning land", approved May 27,
52022, Public Act 102-1015, is amended by changing Section 1-10
6as follows:
 
7    (P.A. 102-1015, Sec. 1-10)
8    Sec. 1-10. The conveyance of real property authorized by
9Section 1-5 shall be made subject to: (1) existing public
10utilities, existing public roads, and any and all
11reservations, easements, encumbrances, covenants, and
12restrictions of record; and (2) the express condition that if
13the real property ceases to be used for public purposes, it
14shall revert to the State of Illinois, Department of
15Corrections.

17    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
18becoming law.
