SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

25 ILCS 10/8 new

Amends the General Assembly Operations Act. Provides that, on and after the effective date of the amendatory Act, the General Assembly shall, by joint resolution, establish a revenue estimate for the following State fiscal year by April 30 of each year. Effective immediately.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The General Assembly Operations Act is amended by adding Section 8 as follows:

(25 ILCS 10/8 new)

Sec. 8. Revenue estimate. On and after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 103rd General Assembly, the General Assembly shall, by joint resolution, establish a revenue estimate for the following State fiscal year by April 30 of each year.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
