SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Page LeRoy Bellinger of Rock Island,
4who passed away on January 3, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Page Bellinger was born to David and Dorothy
6(Johnson) Bellinger in Rosebush, Michigan on September 28,
71930; he was raised on the family farm; he served in the U.S.
8Coast Guard during the Korean War from 1950 to 1953, including
9completing six months of sea duty on the USCGC Campbell; he
10earned his master's degree in agricultural engineering from
11Michigan State University; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Page Bellinger's career included serving as
13engineering editor for Successful Farming, technical
14coordinator for the American Society of Agricultural
15Engineers, and product safety engineer for Deere & Company,
16where he retired as manager of product safety and engineering
17standards in 1992; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Page Bellinger volunteered for various causes,
19and he was especially committed to causes promoting literacy;
20and
 
21    WHEREAS, Page Bellinger enjoyed spending time with family

1and friends, vacationing in Wisconsin, visiting with anyone he
2met, taking fishing trips with friends, coaching, grilling,
3writing, eating Whitey's ice cream, sharing a chuckle, and
4watching sunsets; he thoroughly enjoyed music and listened to
5it daily; he played the guitar, the piano, and the accordion
6and could often be heard whistling, singing, or humming; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Page Bellinger was preceded in death by his
8sister, Wilma Blackman; his brother, Harland Bellinger; and
9his son, Brad Bellinger; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Page Bellinger is survived by his wife of 66
11years, Sandra; his son, Todd (Jennifer) Bellinger; his
12daughter-in-law's sons, Anthony, Dominic, and Matthew; his
13grandchildren, Kyle (Laura) Bellinger and Kiana (Sean)
14Dickson; his great-granddaughter, Olivia Dickson; his
15daughter, Kara (Neal) Blanche; his nephew and niece, Bruce
16(Sandy) Schrock and Marcia Collins; his cousins, Cheryl (Skip)
17Malin, Nina Stilgenbauer, Sunny Sjaarda, Bonnie Pierce, and
18Orriene (Stuart) Denslow; and many other relatives and
19friends; therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
21ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
22Page LeRoy Bellinger and extend our sincere condolences to his
23family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

2    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
3presented to the family of Page Bellinger as an expression of
4our deepest sympathy.
