SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Angelyn Moye-Spears, who passed away
4on May 10, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Angelyn Moye-Spears was born to Pastor Douglas
6Moye Sr. and Pastor Amy Sledge on March 30, 1983; she married
7Elder Kevin Spears in August 2020; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Angelyn Moye-Spears made a name for herself as an
9entrepreneur, building a successful career as an executive
10fashion stylist, makeup artist, model, content creator,
11fashion icon, and influencer; she was revered for her
12impeccable style, class, elegance, and sophistication; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Known as "The Grand Diva", Angela Moye-Spears
14possessed a commanding presence that filled a room upon her
15arrival; she was deeply committed to her faith, and her beauty
16and loving spirit captivated all who crossed her path; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Diagnosed with cancer in November 2022, Angelyn
18Moye-Spear's strength and unwavering faith were admired by
19all; she will be especially remembered for her beautiful soul
20that touched the lives of those near and far; and

1    WHEREAS, Angelyn Moye-Spears is survived by her husband,
2Elder Kevin Spears; her children, Dujuan Johnson, Kevin Jr.,
3and Jayla; her parents; her siblings; and a host of family
4members and close friends; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Angelyn Moye-Spears and extend our sincere condolences to her
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Angelyn Moye-Spears as an
12expression of our deepest sympathy.
