HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Chloe McAdams, an eighth grader at St. John the Evangelist School in Carrollton, on placing first in the discus throw at the 2024 Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 1A 8th Grade Girls State Track and Field Meet; and

WHEREAS, While placing first, Chloe McAdams also set the state record in discus with a distance of 32.11 meters, making her the state record holder for both the seventh grade and eighth grade girls discus events; she also holds her school's record for the eighth grade girls shot put event; and

WHEREAS, Chloe McAdams was given the additional honor of reading the Athlete Pledge before the start of the 2024 IESA Class 1A 8th Grade Girls State Track and Field Meet; and

WHEREAS, Chloe McAdams was led by Coach Kara Albrecht; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Chloe McAdams on her accomplishments at the 2024 Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 1A 8th Grade Girls State Track and Field Meet, and we wish her continued success in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Chloe McAdams as an expression of our esteem and respect.
