HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Officer Randall Paul on the occasion of his retirement from the Cherry Valley Police Department; and

WHEREAS, Office Paul has dedicated more than 18 years of service to the Cherry Valley Police Department and the community he served; and

WHEREAS, Office Paul has remained humble in his service as a law enforcement officer, always staying motivated by the altruistic drive to better the community around him; and

WHEREAS, Officer Paul has made consistent efforts to learn, grow, and build relationships for the betterment of the Cherry Valley community; and

WHEREAS, After having saved a life on March 10, 2017, Officer Paul received the Cherry Valley Police Department's lifesaving medal for his commitment to public safety; and

WHEREAS, Officer Paul retired from the Cherry Valley Police Department on October 29, 2023, ending his long and distinguished career of service; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Officer Randall Paul on his retirement, thank him for his many years of dedicated service as a law enforcement officer, and wish him happiness and great success in his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Officer Paul as an expression of our esteem and respect.
