SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Alfred Keith Muntz of Greenfield, who
4passed away on February 8, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Keith Muntz was born to Harry Morton and Myra
6Alma (Lorton) Muntz in White Hall on September 18, 1921; he and
7his family moved to a farm east of Berdan when he was eight
8years old; he attended grade school at Appalonia School and
9graduated from White Hall High School in 1939; he worked on the
10family farm for the next three years; he served in the U.S.
11Armed Forces during World War II, entering military service on
12July 6, 1942 and serving for 40 months; after his discharge, he
13was awarded the ETO Medal, the Purple Heart, the EX-POW Medal,
14and the French Legion of Honor; he married Juanita Mae Inlow at
15the White Hall Baptist Church on August 5, 1945, and they
16shared 74 years together; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Keith Muntz, alongside his wife Juanita, spent
18the first part of married life on the family farm east of
19Berdan, where they raised purebred Duroc hogs; after leaving
20the farm, they moved to Greenfield, where they lived for over
2140 years; and
 
22    WHEREAS, Keith Muntz served as treasurer of the Greene

1County Purebred Swine Breeders Association; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Keith Muntz is survived by his children, Donald
3Keith (Doris Marie) Muntz and Doris Mae (Ron) Vestel; his
4grandchildren, Jeff (Missy) Muntz, Lisa (Phil) Robinson, Tony
5(Staci) Vestel, and Steven (Naomi) Vestel; his 11
6great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Virginia Ingersoll;
7and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Alfred Keith Muntz and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Keith Muntz as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
