| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Lawrence T. "Larry" Moorman of | 4 | | Channahon, who passed away on January 24, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Larry Moorman was born in Joliet to Wilbur A. and | 6 | | Agnes V. (Van Duyne) Moorman
on April 10, 1937; he was the | 7 | | oldest of 65 grandchildren of the Van Duyne family; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Larry Moorman was the developer of
Spring Brook | 9 | | Estates in Channahon and a longtime part owner of
Rittof's | 10 | | Hardware in Channahon; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Larry Moorman was a member of Carpenters Local | 12 | | #174 for over 50 years; he was a talented and skilled wood | 13 | | worker who milled his own lumber;
he enjoyed his small animal | 14 | | farm and was a longtime member of the
"Coffee Club", which | 15 | | included Bob, George, Ron, Juno, Jim, Bud, and the late Art; he | 16 | | will be lovingly remembered as everyone's "Project Engineer"; | 17 | | and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Larry Moorman was preceded in death by his | 19 | | parents; his son, Louie Moorman; and his sister, Nancy M. | 20 | | Moorman; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Larry Moorman was the beloved husband of 59 years | 2 | | of Janet M. (Rittof) Moorman;
the proud father of Robert A. | 3 | | (Jody) Moorman, Missey Moorman-Schumacher,
Joseph J. (Lori) | 4 | | Moorman, and the late Lawrence S. "Louie" Moorman;
the loving | 5 | | and cherished grandfather of Aubry (Eli) White, Andrew | 6 | | Moorman, Brock Hermann, Chase Hermann, Bradley Schumacher, and | 7 | | J. Schumacher;
and the dearest great-grandfather of Callen | 8 | | White, Isabel White, Olivia White, and
McKenzie | 9 | | Sobota-Hermann; also left to cherish his memory are his dear
| 10 | | nephews, Steve III (Stacy) and Matthew (Erin) Rittof and his | 11 | | brother-in-law,
Steve (Cathy) Rittof; therefore, be it
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 13 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 14 | | Lawrence T. "Larry" Moorman and extend our sincere condolences | 15 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | 16 | | it further
| 17 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 18 | | presented to the family of Larry Moorman as an expression of | 19 | | our deepest sympathy.
