SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Gary K. Warner of Park Ridge, formerly of Niles, who passed away on January 9, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Gary Warner was born on November 12, 1933; he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War; and

WHEREAS, Gary Warner was elected township clerk seven terms starting in 1986; prior to his election as clerk, he served one term as Maine Township Collector; he was also a member of the Park Ridge Police Department citizen patrol; and

WHEREAS, Gary Warner was Past Commander of AMVETS Post #36, Past Grand Knight of North American Martyrs Post #4338, and Past Commander of the Park Ridge American Legion; and

WHEREAS, Gary Warner was a member of many fraternal and civic organizations and a friend to all; and

WHEREAS, Gary Warner was the beloved husband of Arlene; the loving father of John (the late Ellyn) Warner, Diana (Don) Rage, and Keith (Shani) Warner; the cherished grandfather of six and great-grandfather of three; the dear brother of Leitha Vollick, Priscilla Gordon, and Richard Warner; and the fond uncle of many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Gary K. Warner and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Gary Warner as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
