SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Wilbur H. Boehs of Jacksonville, who
4passed away on December 31, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Wilbur Boehs was born to Louis and Amelia Rebbe
6Boehs in Scott County on January 21, 1931; he served in the
7U.S. Army during the Korean War; he married Doris A. Dunmire
8Lacy in Jacksonville on May 26, 1989; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Wilbur Boehs served as a road commissioner for
10Scott County for 35 years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Wilbur Boehs was a very active member of Our
12Redeemer Lutheran Church; he was a former commander of
13Winchester American Legion Post #442; he volunteered at the
14Prairieland Heritage Museum; he enjoyed line dancing, playing
15bingo, and restoring old tractors, especially Allis-Chalmers;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Wilbur Boehs was preceded in death by his
18parents; his brother, Paul Boehs (surviving wife, Imogene);
19his sisters, Evelyn Boehs in infancy and Carol Hursh; his
20step-granddaughter, Holly Buss; and his step-great-grandsons,
21Anthony Buss and Austin Parton; and

1    WHEREAS, Wilbur Boehs is survived by his wife; his
2children, Anthony James Boehs, Kenneth Paul (Marilyn) Boehs,
3Elizabeth Elaine (Dennis) Jarman, and Anna Marie (Dan) Holden;
4his stepchildren, Tena (Douglas) Battefeld, Ricky Lacy, Linda
5(Stacy) Holder, and Tim Lacy; his six grandchildren; his 13
6great-grandchildren; his five step-grandchildren; his 11
7step-great-grandchildren; and his four
8step-great-great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Wilbur H. Boehs and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Wilbur Boehs as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
