SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Louis "Joe" Fox of Moline, who passed away on December 31, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Joe Fox was born to Louis R. and Etta C. (Brummer) Fox in Hannibal, Missouri on December 8, 1935; he graduated from UTHS in 1955 and served in the U.S. Air Force; he married Mary Lowe in Hannibal on June 9, 1962; and

WHEREAS, Joe Fox retired as an estimator for the former United Rentals Traffic Technology; and

WHEREAS, Joe Fox was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in East Moline and was very active in the Boy Scouts; and

WHEREAS, Joe Fox enjoyed fishing; and

WHEREAS, Joe Fox was preceded in death by his parents and his grandmother, Iva Brummer; and

WHEREAS, Joe Fox is survived by his wife, Mary; his sons, Joseph L. (Anita) Fox and John R. (Amie) Fox; his sister, Etta Adams; and his extended family in the Hannibal, Missouri area; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Louis "Joe" Fox and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Louis Fox as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
