SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of David "Dave" Francis Craigmile of Lake
4Forest, who passed away on December 3, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dave Craigmile was born to Charles S. and Nellie
6M. (Truby) Craigmile in Oak Park on June 6, 1928; he was a
7proud graduate of Hinsdale Central High School, Drake
8University, and the Wharton School of Business at the
9University of Pennsylvania; he served in the U.S. Army; he
10married Carol Maurer in 1955, another volunteer he met when he
11served as Vice Chairman of the DuPage Illinois Young
12Republicans; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Dave Craigmile was a manufacturing executive who
14served in roles of advancing responsibility at Bell & Howell,
15Jostens, Skil Corp., and the Elkay Manufacturing Company,
16where he retired as president in 1995; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Dave Craigmile was preceded in death by his
18parents and his brother, Winston; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Dave Craigmile is survived by his wife of 66
20years; his children, Deborah (Charles) Barrett, Jennifer
21(Michael) Neubauer, Catherine (Rod) Romanchuk, and David,

1Charles, and Nancy Craigmile; his 13 grandchildren, Charles,
2Meredith, Elizabeth, and Helen Barrett, Thomas, Christian,
3Peter, and Mary Neubauer, and Patricia, Paula, David,
4Alexandra, and Peter Romanchuk; his brother, Donald (Louise)
5Craigmile; his nieces and nephews; and his friends; therefore,
6be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9David "Dave" Francis Craigmile and extend our sincere
10condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
11him; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Dave Craigmile as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
