SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Robert E. Tanghe of East Moline, who
4passed away on November 19, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Tanghe was born to Peter and Germaine
6(VanHecke) Tanghe in Moline on December 8, 1931; he received
7his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the
8former Iowa State College; he served in the U.S. Army during
9the Korean War; he married JoAnn Redecker at St. Mary's Church
10in Rock Island on October 31, 1959; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Robert Tanghe worked at Eagle Signal for over 30
12years; he later retired from the Rock Island Arsenal in 1997;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Robert Tanghe was a member of St. Mary's Church
15in Rock Island; he enjoyed gardening, home improvement
16projects, and model airplanes; alongside his wife, he enjoyed
17traveling during retirement, including taking cruises to many
18different destinations; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Robert Tanghe was preceded in death by his
20parents; his sister and his brother-in-law, Marie and Don
21Lannoo; his granddaughter, Kayla DiIulio; and his

1great-grandson, Noah Papish; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Robert Tanghe is survived by his wife, JoAnn; his
3children, Lisa (Joe) DiIulio, Julie (Brian) Bausch, Carol
4(Mike) Cutkomp, and Paul Tanghe; his grandchildren, Joey
5(Jamie) DiIulio, Tom (Brooke) DiIulio, Krista (Damian) Papish,
6Grace Copen-DiIulio, Alex Bausch, Amber Bausch, Jeff (Sara)
7Cutkomp, Dan (Emily) Cutkomp, Peyton Tanghe, and Megan Tanghe;
8and his 12 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Robert E. Tanghe and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Robert Tanghe as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
