SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jeanie Cyr of Peoria, who passed away on October 21, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Jeanie Cyr was born to Ted and Sylvia (Gilliatt) Kalley in Metamora on December 16, 1958; she graduated from Metamora Township High School in 1977 and then received her degree in marketing from Illinois State University; she married Denis Cyr at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Peoria on August 22, 1987; and

WHEREAS, Jeanie Cyr worked in sales at WEEK for 25 years and then in radio; she most recently worked for Adams Outdoor Advertising; and

WHEREAS, Jeanie Cyr was a member of Northwoods Community Church; and

WHEREAS, Jeanie Cyr loved fashion and enjoyed traveling, working out, and socializing with friends; she was a dedicated mother and will be dearly missed by many; and

WHEREAS, Jeanie Cyr was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Jeanie Cyr is survived by her husband of more than 34 years, Denis; her two daughters, Gabrielle and Bella Cyr; and her two brothers, Ron (Geni) Kalley and Tim (Jeanine) Kalley; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jeanie Cyr and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jeanie Cyr as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
