SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert "Bob" Carlson, who passed away on June 4, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Bob Carlson was born in Belvidere to Paul and Katherine Carlson on March 3, 1927; he graduated from Rock Island High School and earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Oklahoma; he served in the U.S. Navy; and

WHEREAS, Bob Carlson worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for 34 years as an Industrial Engineer for AMCOM; and

WHEREAS, Bob Carlson was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and a charter member of the Pinnacle Golf Club; and

WHEREAS, Bob Carlson was preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria, and his second wife, Nina; and

WHEREAS, Bob Carlson was the loving father of Reed (Karen), JoDee (Greg), and Jill; the proud grandfather of Greg, Tadd, and Morgen; and the great-grandfather of Gabby; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert "Bob" Carlson and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bob Carlson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
