SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lori S. Weiss of Morton, who passed away on June 10, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Lori Weiss was born to Robert and Shirley (Greiner) Houghton in Peoria on March 4, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Lori Weiss retired from the Office of the Illinois Secretary of State on May 1, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Lori Weiss loved to spend time with her grandchildren whether it was attending their sporting events, doing crafts, playing legos, or having other adventures; and

WHEREAS, Lori Weiss was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Lori Weiss is survived by her three children, Marc (Megan) Houghton, Kris (Tiffany Feger) Weiss, and Carrie (Marc Feldhaus) Weiss, and her seven grandchildren, Rylee, Marcus, Onaleigh, Jace, Jaxon, Oakley, and Jett; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Lori S. Weiss and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lori Weiss as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
