SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert "Bob" E. Mills of East Moline, who passed away on June 8, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Bob Mills was born to Clifford and Myrtle Kaletsch Mills in Galesburg on September 6, 1928; he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War; he married Alice Rose Sherwood in Galesburg on September 22, 1951, and she preceded him in death on May 24, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Bob Mills worked as a service manager at Culligan and later worked in the shipping department at Eckler's Corvette; and

WHEREAS, Bob Mills enjoyed camping, traveling, and spending time with his children and grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Bob Mills was preceded in death by his parents and his wife; and

WHEREAS, Bob Mills is survived by his children, Linda Gates, Judith (Mike) Meersman, Janet (Randy) Pollner, Robert (Patsy) Mills Jr., Michael (Kelli) Mills, John (Kathy) Mills, and Carol (John) Zambrano; his 16 grandchildren; his 27 great-grandchildren; his brother, Gary E. Mills; and his sister, Shirley Glasnovich; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert "Bob" E. Mills and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bob Mills as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
