SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Clifford E. Wiborg of Rock Island, who passed away on May 19, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Clifford Wiborg was born in Moline to John Harold and Hazel (Schmook) Wiborg on August 14, 1933; he served in the U.S. Army and attended college; and

WHEREAS, Clifford Wiborg worked for Douglas Aircraft in California; he later moved back to Illinois and worked at the Rock Island Arsenal; he was also the owner of the Wiborg Products Company; and

WHEREAS, Clifford Wiborg was a member of First Evangelical Free Church in Moline; he had also attended Edgewood Baptist Church in Rock Island; and

WHEREAS, Clifford Wiborg was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Clifford Wiborg is survived by his daughters, Deborah (Warren) Lauritzson and Janette Lyle; his sons, Danial (Vicki) Wiborg and John D. (Shelley) Wiborg; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild on the way; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Clifford E. Wiborg and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Clifford Wiborg as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
