SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James "Bill" Youngblood of East Moline, who passed away on December 15, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Bill Youngblood was born to Pengry and Verney (Woods) Youngblood in Hiawassee, Georgia on January 9, 1928; he served in the U.S. Army; he married Eunice Mae Queen in Hiawassee, Georgia in 1949; and

WHEREAS, Bill Youngblood was previously employed as an assembler for American Air Filter, retiring in 1985 after 34 years; he then worked for Avis Car Rental after his retirement; and

WHEREAS, Bill Youngblood was preceded in death by his wife; his son-in-law, Jerry Fosbinder; his parents; his brothers, Hubert Youngblood, Owen Youngblood, and Lawton Youngblood; and his sister, Ruth Stamey; and

WHEREAS, Bill Youngblood is survived by his children, Linda Fosbinder, Brenda Johnson, and Michael (Teresa) Youngblood; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Brian (Rachel), Chelsie (Ben), Chase, Dane (Jasmyn), and Addison (Roxanne); his great-grandchildren, Aleah, Isabella, Jay, Carter, Bennett, Kennedy, Alyssa, and James; his brothers, Ray Youngblood and Gene Youngblood; and his sisters, DellaMae Dearing and Barbara Hyatt; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of James "Bill" Youngblood and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bill Youngblood as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
