SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Donald Means of Milan, who passed away on December 12, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Donald Means was born to John and Elnora (Skinner) Means on July 28, 1939; he served in the U.S. Navy; he married Verna Pettyjohn; and

WHEREAS, Donald Means worked as a welder at John Deere and Tri-City Fabrication; and

WHEREAS, Donald Means is survived by his wife, Verna; his children, Donald (Tammy) Means Jr., Walter (Cheryl) Means, and Lisa (Tracy) Anderson; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Donald Means and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Donald Means as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
