SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William "Bill" Adams of Columbia, who passed away on June 4, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Bill Adams was born to Billy and Betty (Parent) Adams in East St. Louis on October 6, 1956; and

WHEREAS, Bill Adams worked as a laborer with Local 100; and

WHEREAS, Bill Adams enjoyed World War II model airplanes, fishing, camping, and playing his guitar; and

WHEREAS, Bill Adams was known for his great sense of humor and his infectious smile; and

WHEREAS, Bill Adams was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, George "Butch" Adams; and his nephew, George Adams; and

WHEREAS, Bill Adams is survived by his sister, Jennie Hoover; his brother, Larry Adams; his lifelong friend, Glyn Ramage; his special friends, Dustin Ramage and Drew Denison; the Ramage family; and other extended family; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of William "Bill" Adams and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bill Adams as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
