SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Carol Collins Hogan, who passed away
4on September 30, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Carol Hogan was a lifelong learner and
6accomplished student; she obtained degrees from St. Mary's
7College in Notre Dame, Indiana, the University of Chicago, and
8the Loyola University School of Law; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Carol Hogan was a founding partner of the law
10firm of Hogan, Marren, Babbo and Rose; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Carol Hogan was an enthusiastic dancer and was
12known to lead all members of her entourage onto the dance floor
13when an ABBA song was played; because of this, she was
14affectionately referred to as "The Dancing Queen"; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Carol Hogan was preceded in death by her parents,
16Frank and Mary Collins, and her in-laws, Gertrude and Edward
17Hogan; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Carol Hogan is survived by her husband, Edward M.
19Hogan Jr.; her brother, John C. (Jackie), M.D.; her
20brothers-in-law, Patrick (Virginia), Thomas (Cathleen), and

1Joseph (Maureen); and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore,
2be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Carol Collins Hogan and extend our sincere condolences to her
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Carol Hogan as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
