SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Thomas Paul Doty of Fulton, who passed away on September 10, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Doty was born to Arthur and Lillian (Lott) Doty in Sterling on July 25, 1940; he married Barbara Full in Dixon on January 1, 1965, and she preceded him in death on February 21, 2015; he served in the U.S. Navy; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Doty was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Albany and the Knights of Columbus, where he served as a 4th degree member; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Doty enjoyed golfing, spending time with friends, taking annual trips to Texas, and sports; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Doty was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara; and his sister, Doris Smith; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Doty is survived by his sons, Patrick Doty and Timothy (Kathy) Doty; his brothers, Don (Barb) Doty and Terry (Mary) Doty; and his grandchildren, Travis (Sophia) Doty, Trenten Doty, Ryan Doty, and Megan Doty; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Thomas Paul Doty and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Thomas Doty as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
