SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Jack Matthew Pfund of Edwardsville,
4who passed away on August 19, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jack Pfund was born in Maryville to Matthew and
6Kristen (Moran) Pfund on January 10, 2003; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Jack Pfund worked as an operation coordinator for
8the Pfund Construction Company; he loved construction since
9the moment he could walk; he was known for being extremely
10territorial about his equipment, often not even letting his
11own father operate it; he could often be seen on Saturday
12driving his dump truck with his dog Frank sitting shotgun; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Jack Pfund always seemed wiser beyond his years;
14he had a big heart, and if anyone needed something, he was the
15first one to be there and the last one to leave; he volunteered
16with Habitat for Humanity and many other organizations when
17help was needed; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Jack Pfund loved spending time with his
19girlfriend, Brooke, and her family; often their date nights
20consisted of a drive-by of all the job sites and a quiz on the
21machine names; his best friends were Charlie and Laynie, and

1they knew everything about each other; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Jack Pfund was the heart and soul of his family
3and will be deeply missed; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Jack Pfund is survived by his parents; his
5sister, Laynie Pfund; his brother, Charles Pfund; his paternal
6grandparents, John and Sue Pfund; and his maternal
7grandparents, William and Virginia Moran; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Jack Matthew Pfund and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Jack Pfund as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
