SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Everett R. Olive of Reynolds, who passed away on August 7, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Everett Olive was born to George and Mildred Ariel Jones Olive in Oskaloosa, Iowa on February 9, 1944; he served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam; he married Michelle Blundell in Rock Island on April 19, 1980; and

WHEREAS, Everett Olive was a supervisor for various foundries in the area for many years; he retired from the Rock Island Arsenal after 25 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Everett Olive attended the United Methodist Church in Reynolds; he had a passion for cars and trucks and was a member of the Studebaker Club; he enjoyed reading, solving puzzles, dancing, and dirt track open wheel racing; and

WHEREAS, Everett Olive was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Ross, Robert, and Richard Olive; and

WHEREAS, Everett Olive is survived by his wife, Michelle Olive; his children, Tina (Gary) Kudlack, Stan (Heather) Olive, Teresa Olive, and Angela (Chad) Olive; his grandchildren, Kelsey, Kendra, Garrett, Tyson, Asya, Karissa, Collin, and Nyles; his great-grandchildren, Ayden, Jaylah, and Hudson; his sister, Rae Tucker; and his granddog, Roadie; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Everett R. Olive and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Everett Olive as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
