SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Warren "Ray" Harris of Milan, who passed away on July 10, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Ray Harris was born to Lyle and Ermal (Warren) Harris in Bicknell, Indiana on April 19, 1938; he served in the U.S. Navy; he married Carol Pittser in Davenport, Iowa on April 15, 1978; and

WHEREAS, Ray Harris had been employed by the former Eagle Foods in Milan, Eastern Iowa Tire, and Goodyear Tires; and

WHEREAS, Ray Harris was a member of Rock Island Moose Lodge 190, The Forty and Eight, and Milan American Legion Post 569; and

WHEREAS, Ray Harris was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Ronnie, Clete, Claude, and Ernie; his sister, Velma; and his granddaughter, Jessica; and

WHEREAS, Ray Harris is survived by his wife, Carol; his sons, Warren Harris, Doug Harris, and Tony Schultz; his grandchildren, Amanda, Brady, Bronte, and Brianna; his great-granddaughter, Halee; his sisters, Anna Grabbe and Janet Overbay; his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Harris and Evelyn Harris; and his several nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Warren "Ray" Harris and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ray Harris as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
