HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Henry
4Lee Darden, who passed away on October 23, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Henry Lee Darden was born in Clarksdale,
6Mississippi on March 9, 1936; he graduated from Jean Bapiste
7Point DuSable High School in Chicago; he served in the U.S. Air
8Force; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Henry Lee Darden worked as a steel worker and
10served as a union steward at the Reynolds Metal Company; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Henry Lee Darden enjoyed bowling, watching
12sports, listening to music, and spending time with his family,
13especially his grandchildren; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Henry Lee Darden was preceded in death by his
15wife, Toni Darden; his parents, Henry and Mary Darden; his
16sister, Willa Mae Williams; and his brother, Obero "Bo"
17Darden; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Henry Lee Darden is survived by his children,
19Edwin (Kathie) Darden, Kimberly (Anthony) Williams, Jacqueline
20Harvey, and Teresa Barrow; his siblings, Lillie (Donald)

1Rucker Merrill, Caroline Thomas, Tilman (Ella) Darden, Cynthia
2(David) Tribble, and Charles (Vanessa) Darden; his
3grandchildren, Edwin Jr., Zion, Trinitee, Ryan, Korian,
4Jonathan, Chloe, Jilandre, Jalen, Jakari, Jarell, and Jekhi;
5his great-grandchildren; his niece and nephews; and his other
6family members and friends; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
8HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
9we mourn the passing of Henry Lee Darden and extend our sincere
10condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
11him; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Henry Lee Darden as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
