HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to commend the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE) for its 40 years of service to the Latino community and its contributions to our economy and world; and

WHEREAS, HACE was founded in 1982 and established its headquarters in Chicago, Illinois; and

WHEREAS, HACE is a national non-profit organization dedicated to the employment, development, and advancement of current and aspiring Latino professionals; it has served as a resource for Latinos in the workplace and is a subject-matter expert for corporations seeking to access diverse talent; through professional development, resources, and networks and by facilitating access to meaningful career opportunities, the organization helps Latinos succeed in every phase of their careers; it has a network of almost 100,000 members, which span from high school students to executives, across the U.S. and beyond its borders; and

WHEREAS, HACE is instrumental in assisting domestic and global employers to remain competitive in an increasingly dynamic economy by helping them attract, develop, and retain Latino talent and diverse professionals; and

WHEREAS, From its inception, HACE has worked to positively impact the American workplace by cultivating the pipeline of Latino talent and by providing Latino professionals the insight, access, and support to be successful in their careers; and

WHEREAS, HACE has worked to create a world in which Latinas are paid fairly and where all Latinos realize their full potential, both for themselves and their communities, and are able to pave a prosperous path for future generations; and

WHEREAS, HACE will continue to achieve these goals through achievement, inclusion, accessibility, continuous innovation, relevant programming, excellence, and global leadership; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate HACE on its 40th Anniversary National Leadership Career Summit and Celebration in Chicago from April 21 to 22, 2022; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to HACE as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
