| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Jacob | 4 | | "Jake" Edward Jurinek of Naperville, who passed away on | 5 | | November 5, 2021; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Jake Jurinek was born to Ron and Alison Jurinek | 7 | | on November 20, 2000; he graduated from Neuqua Valley High | 8 | | School in 2019 where he played football and rugby; he was on | 9 | | the 2019 junior varsity rugby state championship team; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Jake Jurinek was a junior at Southern Illinois | 11 | | University (SIU) Carbondale where he was pursuing his passion | 12 | | for art and media; during his time at SIU, he shared his | 13 | | talents with the campus community through his work as a | 14 | | graphic arts and media intern for the athletic department; he | 15 | | hoped to turn his graphic design skills into a business after | 16 | | graduation; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Jake Jurinek was an avid fan of movies, music, | 18 | | WWE, Chicago sports, and summers spent at the family cottage | 19 | | in southwestern Michigan, all hobbies he shared with his | 20 | | favorite person in the world, his father; his enthusiasm for | 21 | | everything in life was contagious; his energy was boundless, | 22 | | and his storytelling was unparalleled; although his artistic |

| 1 | | ability was unmatched, he will be best remembered for his big | 2 | | heart and even bigger personality, as well as his unwavering | 3 | | positive attitude; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Jake Jurinek was preceded in death by his mother, | 5 | | Alison Jurinek; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Jake Jurinek is survived by his father and best | 7 | | friend, Ron Jurinek; his stepmother, Tammy Knor; and his | 8 | | stepbrother, Devin Knor; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | 10 | | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 11 | | we mourn the passing of Jacob "Jake" Edward Jurinek and extend | 12 | | our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who | 13 | | knew and loved him; and be it further
