HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Chief Kirk Henderson on the occasion of his retirement from the Zion Police Department; and

WHEREAS, Chief Henderson graduated from Illinois State University in 1987, the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety in 2007, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy in 2014; and

WHEREAS, Chief Henderson has served the Zion Police Department since April 1992; he has held various positions within the department, including patrol officer, school resource officer, detective, corporal/sergeant, lieutenant, and deputy chief; and

WHEREAS, Chief Henderson has been a dedicated public servant to the Zion community for nearly 30 years, and he has made significant contributions to the quality and progress of the Zion Police Department; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that congratulate Chief Kirk Henderson on his retirement from the Zion Police Department, and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Chief Henderson as an expression of our esteem and respect.
