SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 2805/2.14 new
    Amends the Department of Veterans' Affairs Act. Provides that the Department of Veterans' Affairs shall establish a program to enable veterans who are certified nursing assistants to meet the requirements for practical nurse licensure under the Nurse Practice Act.

1     AN ACT concerning State government.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The Department of Veterans' Affairs Act is
5 amended by adding Section 2.14 as follows:

6     (20 ILCS 2805/2.14 new)
7     Sec. 2.14. Certified nursing assistants; practical nurse
8 licensure. The Department shall establish a program to enable
9 veterans who are certified nursing assistants to meet the
10 requirements for practical nurse licensure under Article 55 of
11 the Nurse Practice Act.
