SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
225 ILCS 10/2.10  from Ch. 23, par. 2212.10

    Amends the Child Care Act of 1969. Provides that a "part day child care facility" means a facility in which individual children are provided care for up to 40 hours per seven day week (rather than in which individual children are provided care, on an intermittent basis, for up to 10 hours per seven day week). Makes conforming changes.

1    AN ACT concerning regulation.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Child Care Act of 1969 is amended by
5changing Section 2.10 as follows:
 
6    (225 ILCS 10/2.10)  (from Ch. 23, par. 2212.10)
7    Sec. 2.10. "Part day child care facility" means a facility
8for which written notification has been filed pursuant to
9subsection (b) of Section 3 of this Act and which is conducted
10by a church, religious organization or social service agency
11in which individual children are provided care, on an
12intermittent basis, for up to 40 10 hours per seven day week.
13Any facility which provides intermittent care for up to 40 10
14hours per 7 day week shall not provide such care for more than
158 hours in any given day during the 7 day week. Any facility
16which provides intermittent care for up to 40 10 hours per 7
17day week shall provide at least one caregiver per 20 children.
18Any facility which operates for more than 40 10 hours per 7 day
19week or charges a fee for its services shall maintain written
20records indicating the parent's name, emergency phone numbers
21and the number of hours each child is served in order to verify
22that the facility is operating within the bounds set by this
23definition.
