SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

10 ILCS 5/1-9.3 new

Amends the Election Code. Provides that after every 4 hours of counting ballots, the local election authority shall determine how many ballots are left to be counted for each precinct and what type of ballots are left to count, whether a vote by mail ballot or in-person ballot.

AN ACT concerning elections.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Election Code is amended by adding Section 1-9.3 as follows:

(10 ILCS 5/1-9.3 new)

Sec. 1-9.3. Ballot counting information. After every 4 hours of counting ballots, the local election authority shall determine how many ballots are left to be counted for each precinct and what type of ballots are left to count, whether a vote by mail ballot or in-person ballot.
