720 ILCS 5/20-2  from Ch. 38, par. 20-2

    Amends the Criminal Code of 2012. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning possession of explosives or explosive or incendiary devices.

1    AN ACT concerning criminal law.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Criminal Code of 2012 is amended by
5changing Section 20-2 as follows:
 
6    (720 ILCS 5/20-2)  (from Ch. 38, par. 20-2)
7    Sec. 20-2. Possession of explosives or explosive or
8incendiary devices.
9    (a) A person commits possession of explosives or explosive
10or incendiary devices in violation of this Section when he or
11she possesses, manufactures or transports any explosive
12compound, timing or detonating device for use with any
13explosive compound or incendiary device and and either intends
14to use the explosive or device to commit any offense or knows
15that another intends to use the explosive or device to commit a
16felony.
17    (b) Sentence.
18    Possession of explosives or explosive or incendiary
19devices is a Class 1 felony for which a person, if sentenced to
20a term of imprisonment, shall be sentenced to not less than 4
21years and not more than 30 years.
