SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Detarius LaTrave're Haynes, who passed away on April 16, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Detarius Haynes, the son of Latonya Henley and David Haynes, was born in Springfield on December 19, 1997; and

WHEREAS, With dedication and skill, Detarius Haynes served as a valued employee at Paula Products Company and excelled as a manager at Burger King; and

WHEREAS, Detarius Haynes committed to his faith at an early age, and he was a member of Emanuel Temple Church of God in Christ in Springfield; and

WHEREAS, Detarius Haynes was a beacon of love and kindness; he will be remembered for his warmth, laughter, and unwavering love for his family and community; and

WHEREAS, Detarius Haynes was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jimmie Bates; his aunt, Carolyn Pearson; his cousins, Demiyah Bates and Landis Bates; and his aunt and uncle, Sharon and Harold Haynes; and

WHEREAS, Detarius Haynes is survived by his son, Sonny Abel Haynes; his daughters, Glory Christina Haynes and Niamaya Jones; his mother, Latonya (Antonio) Henley; his father, David (Veronica) Haynes; his father, La'Ron (Cindy) Williams Sr.; his siblings, La'Ron Williams Jr., LeBron Williams, Lamonte Henley, Justin (Sheridan) Moore, Davontae Haynes, DaKiya Haynes, Decara Haynes, Daytoria Bates, Brina Williams, Lanyia Williams, and Ronlaya Medley; his grandmothers, Christina Davis and Pearline Haynes; and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Detarius LaTrave're Haynes and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Detarius Haynes as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
