SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Loren Ralph Beaumont of Sun City,
4Arizona, formerly of Rock Island, who passed away on September
525, 2023 at the age of 100; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Loren Beaumont was born in Parsons, Kansas to
7Ralph and Gladys (Kettle) Beaumont on September 6, 1923; he
8served in the United States Air Force during World War II from
91942 to 1946; he married Alice Myers on September 16, 1945; he
10then married Marlene (Doerr) Miller on February 14, 1998; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Loren Beaumont worked as a machinist for the Rock
12Island Arsenal for over 20 years before retiring; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Loren Beaumont was a member of First Baptist
14Church in Moline, Moline Legion Post 246, the Kiwanis, Rock
15Island Masonic Lodge 658, Ducks Unlimited, and the Rock Island
16Conservation Club; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Loren Beaumont was preceded in death by both of
18his wives; his parents; and his son, John Ralph Beaumont; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Loren Beaumont is survived by his daughter, Ruth
20Ann (Jim) Koltveit; two grandchildren; five

1great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren;
2therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Loren Ralph Beaumont and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Loren Beaumont as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
