SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Everett J. Fisher of Colona, who passed away on August 25, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Everett Fisher was born to Everett J. and Louise (Ruby) Fisher in Hannibal, Missouri on May 2, 1933; he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict; he married Betty Cooper in Rock Island on January 19, 1953; and

WHEREAS, Everett Fisher worked as a press operator at International Harvester for 30 years; and

WHEREAS, Everett Fisher enjoyed playing horseshoes and cornhole with friends; and

WHEREAS, Everett Fisher was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Everett S. Fisher; and his daughter, Toni Young; and

WHEREAS, Everett Fisher is survived by his wife; his daughter, Cindy Long; his grandchildren, Mark Long, Everett Fisher, Jacob Fisher, Sarah Fisher, Brennen Fisher, and Alyssa Fisher; his great-grandchildren, Emerson Long and Elisabeth Long; and his sister, Mary Talbot; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Everett J. Fisher and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Everett Fisher as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
