SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Patricia Ann "Pat" Graves of
4Springfield, who passed away on May 6, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Pat Graves was born to Paul and Nancy Mallady in
6Mattoon on August 11, 1947; she grew up in Arcola and moved to
7Springfield, where she married Gary Graves at Clear Lake
8Church of Christ in Springfield on August 31, 1968; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Pat Graves worked for the State of Illinois for
10more than 35 years, retiring in 2002; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Pat Graves was a member of Westside Christian
12Church, where she enjoyed being a part of the church choir and
13attending TNT Sunday school; she loved her family dearly and
14was deeply committed to her faith; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Pat Graves was preceded in death by her parents
16and her brother, Jerry Mallady; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Pat Graves is survived by her husband; her
18daughters, Dawn (John) Hauer and Jennifer Graves (Brian
19Sissel); her grandchildren, Zachary Graves (fiancée, Hannah),
20Jonathon (Taylor) Hauer, Laura Hauer, Lindsey (Bailey) Swift,

1and Alexa Joseph; her great-grandchildren, Kai Graves, Mason
2Hauer, and Hudson Hauer; her sister, Beverly (Dan) Bell; her
3brother, Michael Mallady; and several nieces and nephews;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Patricia Ann "Pat" Graves and extend our sincere condolences
8to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
9it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Pat Graves as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
