SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 3921/16 new

Amends the Illinois Century Network Act. Provides that, on or before June 30, 2028, the Department of Innovation and Technology must offer free internet access through the Illinois Century Network to park districts, forest preserve districts, conservation districts, and soil and water conservation districts.

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Century Network Act is amended by adding Section 16 as follows:

(20 ILCS 3921/16 new)

Sec. 16. District access. On or before June 30, 2028, the Department of Innovation and Technology must offer free internet access through the Illinois Century Network to park districts, forest preserve districts, conservation districts, and soil and water conservation districts.
