Amends the School Code. Requires a school board to include information on how a parent or guardian can safely store any firearms at home where other policies, rules, and standards concerning student conduct are posted and made available to parents and guardians.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections 10-20.87 and 34-18.85 as follows:

(105 ILCS 5/10-20.87 new)

Sec. 10-20.87. Information on safe storage of firearms at home. A school board shall include information on how a parent or guardian can safely store any firearms at home where other policies, rules, and standards concerning student conduct are posted and made available to parents and guardians.
