SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Terry Lee Nuding of Rochester, who passed away on February 20, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Terry Nuding was born in Kewanee on January 31, 1942; he was the son of David Nuding and Karlene Ferguson; he graduated from Lanphier High School in 1960; he earned his master's degree in Guidance Counseling from Illinois State Normal University; he married Sandra Hayes at St. John's Lutheran Church in Springfield on August 27, 1965; and

WHEREAS, Terry Nuding served as a guidance counselor at Lanphier High School before embarking on a 30-year career as a real estate agent in central Illinois; and

WHEREAS, Terry Nuding served as the president of the Capital Area Association of Realtors from 2010 to 2011; and

WHEREAS, Terry Nuding enjoyed attending church, fishing, golfing, playing cards, traveling, boxing, and coaching youth sports; above all, he loved spending time with his family; and

WHEREAS, Terry Nuding was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Robert Hayes; and

WHEREAS, Terry Nuding is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Sandie; his brother, Michael Nuding; his sister, Linda (Wayne) Morrison; his brother, Dennis Ferguson; his sister, Melody Ferguson; his stepfather, William Ferguson; his son, Tim (Bene) Nuding; his daughter, Jenny (Jeff) Brock; his son, Tad (Patty) Nuding; his grandchildren, Drew Nuding, Winnie Nuding, Sophie Nuding, Lucy Nuding, Will Nuding, Sam Nuding, Adam Brock, Justin Brock, and Alex Brock; his mother-in-law, Anita Hayes; his sisters-in-law, Kathleen Hayes, Nancy Drew, and Therese (Dale) Phillips; and his brother-in-law, Bob (Cheryl) Hayes; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Terry Lee Nuding and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Terry Nuding as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
