SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Howard Willis of East Moline, who passed away on November 10, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Howard Willis was born to Harry and Mable (Bender) Willis in Kewanee on September 7, 1936; he married Phyllis Eckhart and was later divorced; he served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1954; and

WHEREAS, Howard Willis worked at Oscar Meyer for 30 years; and

WHEREAS, Howard Willis was a member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association and the Goldwing Motorcycle Club; and

WHEREAS, Howard Willis was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Willis; his parents; and his sister, Ruth Modes; and

WHEREAS, Howard Willis is survived by his daughter, Patti Zyzanski; his two grandchildren; his brothers, David Willis and Gerald Willis; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Howard Willis and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Howard Willis as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
