SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Marjorie Elizabeth "Marge" Paulson of
4Peoria, who passed away on April 20, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marge Paulson was born to Walter and Elizabeth
6(Oberlander) Gerber in Fort Wayne, Indiana on November 26,
71943; she graduated from Methodist School of Nursing in June
8of 1965; she married Gary Paulson in Morton on April 3, 1966;
9she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Sangamon
10State University in May of 1991; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Marge Paulson worked as a nurse for the Peoria
12State Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Keystone, Eureka Hospital,
13and lastly the American Red Cross, from which she retired in
142007; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Marge Paulson volunteered and served on the board
16for the Junior League of Peoria and the Salvation Army Women's
17Auxiliary; she was a lifetime member of Grace Presbyterian
18Church, where she served in a number of different roles; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Marge Paulson was preceded in death by her
20husband; her parents; and her brother, Glenn Gerber; and

1    WHEREAS, Marge Paulson is survived by her three children,
2Andy (Jen) Paulson, Julie (Bill Smith) Paulson, and Kevin
3(Melissa) Paulson, and her four grandchildren, Baylen Paulson,
4Callie Paulson, Kahler Paulson, and Archie Paulson; therefore,
5be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Marjorie Elizabeth "Marge" Paulson and extend our sincere
9condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
10her; and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Marge Paulson as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
